Mexia Operations Framework

Mexia Consulting are specialists in the maintenance of solutions based on the Microsoft BizTalk Server platform by providing:

  • specialist skills in both the Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP) framework architecture and BizTalk Server 2010, which ensures the business benefits of the EIP Framework are supported;
  • specialist BizTalk Server 2010 administration services, including on-call technical phone support;
  • rapid response (via remote access), investigation & diagnosis of critical issues in accordance with service level agreements;
  • best-practice Operational Support Procedures development for the above services.

By providing this service, Mexia can assure its clients that the EIP will be a reliable business system.  Examples of these types of models are as follows:

  • Passive Monitoring:  A fixed amount of days per month used to manually log in and check the operational reports, perform investigative checks and basic issue resolution (T&M for break-fix).
  • Active Monitoring: Automatic notification of problems via SCOM (or equivalent).  A fixed amount of days per month performing issue resolution (T&M for break-fix).
  • 12 Month Support: A fixed amount of hours per quarter that can be used on Passive or Active Monitoring.  Any time remaining per quarter can be traded for development work towards next business requirements.

In our experience, the Passive Monitoring model provides better outcomes for our customer because we are continually engaging in their systems.
